Diversity and discrimination.

You'll never find two human beings who are completely the same. Never, no matter how hard you try, you won't. I can assure you that.

There's diversity among us, we all are different somehow. Whether it's the color of our skin, our nationality, our preferences, our sexuality, our gender identity, our surroundings, our appearence... we are different from each other. And it's okay. As long as you're not causing damage to others by that, there's nothing wrong with it.

The problem is that we tend not to respect that diverstity, we tend to think of diverstity as something which is wrong. Even though we say we don't think that or that we don't care about diversity, are you sure it is respected? I don't think so.

I'll give you an example. Let's imagine a 10th grade classroom, with about 30 students. They're different from each other, but they act in a similar way, most of them. Nevertheless, let's suppose that there are like three students who are "different" or that's what they classmates do. One of those three students has a different sexuality than most of their classmates, openly. Other one is from another country, and the reaction of his/her classmates is the same as with the other kid. The third one doesn't like the same things as his/her classmates, has different hobbies, mentality and dresses differently.

The reaction of their classmates towards them is the same: the three teens are being teased, being made fun of, being left out... being bullied. Just because they're not like them. The three teens aren't causing any damage to the rest, but they're different. And that's what always happens, every day, everywhere.

Is it right? No. People say that we've become more advanced, and we have, but not enough. There is still a lot of discrimination to many people, and it's unfair - this must change.

Wouldn't you like to feel free to be yourself in public without hiding who you truly are? Wouldn't that be better for each one of us? What do you prefer: stopping hate and becoming acceptive, or living divided and hidden?

It's owned by us, only we can change that.

Achievements.

Today I'd like to talk about achievements.

Every day, every week, every month, and every year there will be people who will tell you that you can't achieve something. Lots of those times, they will be referring to things that you've always wanted to achieve, they'll talk about what for you might be your "dream". That kinda sucks, doesn't it?

It's fucked up that every time a person comes up with a dream, something they want to do with their life, someone comes and starts telling you that there's not a chance you'll make it true, that no way you can make it true. Why do they say it? I don't know.

Sometimes, their intentions are good - they just want you not to delude yourself.

That's something normal from the people who care about you. Whether you're good or not doing what you want to have success in, having your hopes too high can end up with you being disappointed. That's a chance, I won't deny it.

Nevertheless, there's other thing that might happen. Maybe the person who's telling you you can't achieve your dreams basically doesn't want you to reach your dreams. Why? There are a few possibilities.

That person might be jealous for any reason, they might think you can make true something that they can't, they might see in you a talent that they wish they had... maybe they see you as a rival, or maybe they just don't want to see you success. Hate, jealousy, feeling like a failure themselves... those can be reasons why someone wants you not to success in something.

However, none of those reasons should be a reason for you to be put down. You should keep fighting for your dreams. You should never give up that fight. As a song that I really like says:

"Keep your hopes up high and your head down low"

You have to fight for what you want, but always being honest to the world and to yourself, and all that with modestly, never forget that.

Have a nice weekend guys!
